Summary of Requirements

The Human Democratization Programme of the OSCE Mission to Moldova requires to engage a competent and responsible Partner for the implementation of the project “Human Rights Awareness Raising and Civil Society Development in Transdniestria - 2015” (hereinafter referred as the Project). The Project supports free legal assistance to the public, conducting expert analysis of complaints and legal problems faced by individuals on a daily basis, ensuring exchange of experience between lawyers from both banks of Dniestr/Nistru river, and facilitating the development of Transdniestrian civil society in partnership with right bank civil society through capacity building activities. The Implementing Partner will be entrusted with the following: • providing ongoing legal assistance through local lawyers to the residents of Transdniestria as well as to NGOs and initiative groups in Tiraspol, Bender, Ribnita and Varnita; • conducting jointly with a right bank expert an impact analysis of cases as well as systemic problems faced on a daily basis by individuals as a result of differing legal frameworks; • conducting four seminars in the Tiraspol office of the OSCE for NGOs and initiative groups in Transdniestria that focus their work on human rights issues; • organizing a one-week internship programme with Chisinau based NGOs for five Transdniestrian civil society representatives with demonstrated interest in human rights issues; • assisting the Mission in organizing a Donors Forum with participation of donors and civil society from both banks.
