The training will cover a selected group of government and media representatives on the standards and subtleties of the coverage of security, terrorism and extremism in the media. The training will be delivered by an international media security correspondent in cooperation with local co-trainers to place the international experience in the national context. The best trainees selected through a competition are expected to become a part of a special group of correspondents covering extremism issues. These correspondents are expected to have primary access to often sensitive information from relevant government stakeholders accompanied by briefing and pre-editorial discussion before passing it on in their authoritative materials through publication.
