The project “Enhancing Co-ordinated and analytical approaches to investigating serious crimes, particularly related to missing children” is implemented by the OSCE SPU in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (MIA), the Prosecutor’s Training Centre of Ukraine and other Ukrainian criminal justice authorities and relevant state institutions, such as investigators of the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine, investigators of the National Police of Ukraine, and representatives of the Ombudsperson’s Office.
With a view to strengthening MIA’s capacities and to upgrade the Register of Persons Missing in Special Circumstances (including the category of children missing in special circumstances) and to improve its interoperability, the Project foresees procurement of server equipment and data storage system and associated services of installation and technical support.
In order to upgrade the currently operational MIA Register of Persons Missing in Special Circumstances, the equipment shall be fully compatible and interoperable with the existing server infrastructure in use by the Beneficiary (State Enterprise “INFOTECH” operating under the managerial oversight of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine).
