The OSCE Mission to Skopje has been working on strengthening youth participation and engagement, working with and for youth; creating opportunities for integrating youth perspectives into consultation and policy dialogue since 2014. The main Mission stakeholder in this area is the Agency for Youth and Sport (AYS, Agency).
Youth participation in political and public life still remains weak on the national and local level. In this regard, the Mission will continue to support the work of the AYS as the key national institution in the development of youth policies, with particular focus on the implementation of the Law on Youth Participation and Youth Policies. In its continuous efforts to strengthen the outreach capacities of the Agency, the Mission will engage a service provider to develop new functional website enabling them to be more visible in the public and offering effective and attractive site for the young people in the Republic of North Macedonia.
