Event Management Service to organize a 5-day training “Physical and Digital Security of Journalists During Wartime” in Polyana, Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine / 21-26 September 2026
“Strengthening the Role of Media by Ensuring the Safety of Journalists, Promoting Critical Media Consumption, Encouraging Ethical and Self-Regulated Journalism, and Institutionalizing Gender-Sensitive Media Practices” (hereinafter – the “Project”) envisages to сo-organize “Physical and Digital Security of Journalists During Wartime” training jointly with Committee on Freedom of Speech of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.
Journalists and media workers in Ukraine need to be better protected from physical harm, digital threats, enabling them to carry out their work freely and inform the public even amid the conflict. A safer working environment for journalists will help sustain independent reporting and is a precondition for strengthening democracy and society.
For this purpose, OSCE SPU jointly with Committee on Freedom of Speech of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine plan to organize a 5-day training “Physical and Digital Security of Journalists During Wartime” for the group of 50 journalists (hereinafter – Training) scheduled for 21 – 26 September 2026.
Proceeding from the aforesaid, the OSCE SPU requires a conference service company to provide services and relevant support for the organizing the event as required and described hereto.
