Since 2010, CiB has been supporting reform of the Government press service.
The project responds to the main tasks of the state information policy outlined in the National Sustainable Development Strategy until 2017. These particularly highlight the need for professional development of press officers, protection of the right to information and need for prompt response to informational needs of the society. In addition, the government press service reform correlates with the state’s orientation towards introducing electronic/open government, achieving greater transparency and accountability.
