The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is seeking offers from eligible and qualified companies for supply and delivery of hand held radios in support of CoESCD with ICT equipment. In any disaster, the key to mitigating secondary problems is the maintenance of command and control by ensuring the passage of accurate information to and from emergency managers and operational personnel. Accuracy in communication is one of the most critical aspects of information dissemination. Radio has been used in the immediate response phase of many kinds of natural disasters and with a range of stakeholders, dispatching messages, information or advice to affected communities. In this regard, the Office is planning to support the CoESCD with up to 50 VHF radios, to ensure the relevant transmission of information before, during and after the emergencies. Interested companies are invited to request bidding documents.
