The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine implements project “Enhancing Ukraine’s Chemical Emergency Response Capacity”. Project aimed at strengthening capacity of State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) to train personnel dealing with chemical emergency response, forecast chemical incidents progression assessing their hazards, and co-ordinate emergency response with other national stakeholders.
For improving SESU technical capabilities to respond efficiently to emergencies involving hazardous substances, Project foresees procurement of chemical emergency response equipment (hazmat coveralls) to SESU’s fire-fighting departments to enable personnel to:
