The purpose of the pump is to provide an irrigation channel with water. The water is taken from an intake structure of a river and pumped through a 3 km steel pipe with an inner diameter of 1200mm to the irrigation channel. Between the intake and the pump station is a sand settlement basin arranged. The pump shall be driven by an electric motor direct coupled.
