The Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities (OCEEA) is implementing two extra-budgetary projects, within the OSCE Framework for “Response to the Implications of the Situation in Afghanistan for the OSCE region” aimed at improving resilience in communities in Central Asian border regions with Afghanistan, focusing on natural resource management, and addressing energy sector challenges. In support of the Government of Uzbekistan’s development objectives in providing electricity access to rural areas and in order to contribute to socio-economic well-being, the OSCE aims to provide small solar power systems to target communities in Termiz district, Surkhandarya region, Republic of Uzbekistan.
