The National Interagency Database (NIDB) on illicit drug trafficking of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be a systematized data repository containing the detailed information on drug-related crimes, including data on detained persons and seizures of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, as also other information. The main objective of creating the NIDB is to improve the mechanism of inter-agency exchange of information between the competent authorities of Uzbekistan involved in combating the illicit drug trafficking. It is supposed that besides the function of storage the information, the NIDB will also have the functions of operational and strategic analysis, and have the cartographic elements.
